Biography

Miks Šveiduks is a professional Sales and Leadership Coach for Southwestern Consulting. Some of his key accomplishments include:

  • Retail pride in DNB banka according to sales results in 2014 in the SME segment
  • Knocked on 14,000 + doors, rang 9,000+ cold calls
  • Selected, trained and led sales teams for nine years
  • Sold both services and products
  • More than 13 years of experience in sales, sales management, personnel selection, and management
  • A first-level higher education degree in personnel management and psychology
Miks has been in sales since he was 13 years old. He began his career working for his family's company. Later, he moved into the finance and mortgage sector and worked as a salesperson and manager for 6.5 years. He moved on to create and grow a customer service and sales team for an insurance company—a position he held for 2.5 years. Throughout these experiences, he has enjoyed seeing how his team grew, both in sales and as people.

In every position he has held, Miks has created sales teams and generated sales results while optimizing internal procedures to enhance work efficiency. He has worked with small and mid-sized teams to develop sales processes from the ground up and driven those teams to exceed 1 million Euros in sales. When starting to sell a new product or service, Miks is able to quickly find the right words that make buying an enjoyable process for customers.

Miks enjoys helping others implement systems in their work that help achieve their goals and vision. He believes that everyone has the opportunity to become the best in their field, as long as they believe in it and invest the necessary work.

In addition to coaching, Miks enjoys an active lifestyle. He has 12 years of experience in basketball, where he as successful in both in Latvia and Northern Europe. He spends every free moment he can spend with his family, in addition to traveling the world. He has traveled 21 countries and plans to travel all continents one day.

As a father of two, it is important for him to find balance between family and work. It’s also a big part of his message as a coach—he wants everyone he mentors to find a healthy work-life balance. He lives his life by two sayings: "Life is an adventure–open your eyes" and "Time can fly, but I'm the pilot of it."
