Juha has 27 years of professional experience – specifically in the software, telecommunications, and electricity transmission and distribution industries. As a coach, he has a true passion for working with leaders in potential growth environments that have a clear business focus and challenging goals.
Juha holds a master’s degree in information technology, specializing in software systems and telecommunications. He started his career in IT in 1994 by pioneering smart phone product creation at Nokia. Three years later he co-founded Plenware, a software company that was acquired by Cybercom Group 11 years later. Juha also led international project operations and coordinated research and development at Areva T&D (now a part of General Electric). Before joining Southwestern, he was Vice President of Nordics Sales at a SaaS company, M-Files, where he served from 2011 to 2021.
At M-Files Nordics, Juha held several senior sales roles, with responsibilities ranging from managing key accounts to hunting top prospects. As a new Regional Vice President, Juha organized and led a key project that resulted in new strategic direction and organization for the company. It was so successful, later the sales strategy was adapted for other regions as well.
A Few Highlights
Juha’s Nordics sales teams consistently crushed their goals year after year from 2017 to 2020, with several team members awarded and nominated for the President’s Club.
As a manager, Juha transformed a traditional perpetual-license software sales group into an “SaaS” business while keeping his top producers always at the top.
In addition, he started two new businesses, growing them successfully and finding a new home for them after finally exiting the companies.
