Biography

As a professional Sales and Leadership Coach for Southwestern Consulting, David has more than two decades of experience in sales and sales management. Prior to becoming an SWC coach, David had nationally recognized success spanning several industries, including mortgage lending, consumer finance and overall marketing. As a coach, David combines his mortgage industry career along with his desire to help others through one-on-one coaching with being a fully versed sales practitioner. Simply put, he practices what he preaches. He is invigorated by topics such as recruiting, goal setting, time management, marketing, effective leadership, and overall sales.

David has an extensive record of success during his professional career. He was the fastest salesperson to be promoted within Norwest Financial (less than one year), in a company of more than 10,000 employees at the time. David has also received Top Branch and Manager awards several times during his mortgage career and remains one of the top-producing offices within his company.

David understands firsthand that we all do not fit into one box and that life can throw unexpected curveballs. In 2015 he was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, during in which he underwent both chemotherapy and radiation treatments as well as continuing to run a branch of over 30 employees. He is fortunate to say his cancer is in remission and has taken a new profound outlook on life and relatability to what others are going through.

David is excited to be a part of SWC to help others become the best they can be by overcoming fears and life obstacles, jumping in with both feet for the pursuit of their own goals. His career has been about developing salespeople into future leaders and he has a passion for helping people through their obstacles.

Overall, David is enthusiastic about bringing out the best in people. He is happily married and has two daughters who will soon be entering college. He hopes to continue to inspire them as well to create lasting memories through various family activities such as skiing, hiking, and traveling. He also enjoys his time outside with his two golden retrievers and personal fitness.
